About DNSSEC check
What it is
DNSSEC cryptographically signs a domain's DNS responses, so that a recipient can verify that the response really comes from the right source and has not been tampered with in transit.
Why it matters
Without DNSSEC, an attacker can in certain situations forge DNS responses and redirect visitors or mail to the wrong server. DNSSEC is not mandatory but raises protection against that kind of manipulation.
Tips
- Ask your DNS provider to enable DNSSEC, many support it with a single click.
- Make sure the DS record is in place at the registrar when you turn it on.
- Test afterwards that the domain still resolves correctly.
